The making of the Teachers Day Video

July 17, 2008 · 2 Comments

Class XII students of St Pauls (what else?) came up with the ambitious plan of shooting a video in and about the school, the school teachers, with their interviews and much, much more..

Coincidentally, this idea of shooting a video struck them just before the first term examinations..

But that didn’t deter them from making grand plans throughout the period of the exams..

A ’script’ was meticulously prepared and passed throughout the group.. There were interviews to be taken, photos to be shot at places not yet discovered by the students in the school, there had to be humor, the video had to have some old photos so as to jerk back memories and bring tears to their eyes.. Yeah.. That was the plan..

But, there was a minor problem.. At that time, Agra was ,one could say, engulfed in ‘civil war’.. Agra was witnessing riots never seen before.. A curfew had been ordered by the authorities..

But still, some Paulians braved all these conditions to shoot the video, their video..

The projector used to project the movie on to the wall in the school auditorium was provided by Mr Sharad Agarwal..

Despite some last minute technical glitches, we somehow managed to screen the video to the eager audience and received a thundering reception… All was well.

Lost in deep thought during the shooting of the movie..

Rohit, deep in thought, during the shooting of the movie..

I will soon post the entire teachers day video here as well as the “Meri Sharapova Kaha Hain” video I wrote about in an earlier post
