I’m hearing good things about the Teachers’ Day 08′ function (that was) at Pauls..I know..Its hard for people of my batch to even remotely think that any Teachers’ Day function can be better than ‘our’ Teachers’ Day function i.e. Teachers’ Day 07′ with the movie and all.. Whatever it is you think, here are some pics….
I’ll post some more interesting pics and some real amazing videos of the function real soon…

Is this the same as St Pauls Church School Agra founded around 1980. I was the first sports teacher there and organised the first cricket team and sports day when the first building was only half built and had no boundary fence. however I had a wonderful time there and at St Johns College for 2 years.

Well I have just looked at some of the photo’s posted. When I taught at St Pauls it was half built, the Principal was Veronica Carvel and one of our women teachers Ms Sashi Singh was an excellent cricketer.
I organised the schools first cricket match and the first sports day. there was no boundary wall and seeing camels wander across the school was not impossible.
To see the full building and a grassed palying field is great.
As well as teaching at St Pauls I coached basketball, tennis etc at St John’s college, where I lived.
Agra will always be a part of me as it where this aometimes arrogant young Englishman really grew up and learned to put his heritage into perspective, and learned to eat curry.
However you never get a good enough dish in an Indian restaurant in England.
It is a joy that I had a small part to play in the early years of a school that has so clearly grown.

Thanks’…
Its really heartening to see such response from the ‘old boys’, the ex-Paulians..
Unfortunately I’m not posting on this blog anymore.. This started as a way to spend my free time after class XII but soon developed into much more than that.. However, once college started, I had to abandon this blog due to time constraints… But anyways, there are a lot of interesting posts on this blog.. See them all!
